In Dionne’s Group, our current research focus involves the development of a tunable metasurface designed to enhance light control capabilities. The incorporation of tunable or active metasurfaces, facilitating adaptive control over light, holds promising implications for advancements in optical devices, bio-sensing technologies, and augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) applications. Our recent endeavors involve the utilization of materials characterized by electro-optic or thermo-optic properties. These materials enable the modulation of the refractive index, thereby offering the ability to freely control the wavefront.
